Emergency-childcare Benefit

Eligible members receive 15 uses per calendar year for back-up childcare.

We know you need support to balance the many responsibilities that you — and your family — face each day. That’s why we are partnering with Bright Horizons® to provide benefits that can help. The program provides both center-based and in-home care for children when there is an emergency or when regular care plans fall through.
 
When you need them, you can call a Bright Horizons contact center 24/7 to speak with a care consultant who will research all viable options to help you find the best solution.* You can also schedule back-up care directly through their website and app.

The Program Includes:

  • Back-up Care: in-home care

*Bright Horizons matches members to partnering childcare centers and in-home daycare facilities near their homes or jobsites. A Bright Horizons report shows 64% of female members in the Southern District match geographically to at least one partnering childcare provider. We are working to increase this percentage. Note: If your benefit eligibility cannot be confirmed online or on the mobile app, you can still register by calling 877-BH-CARES and your personal username and password will be delayed until confirmation is received.
